This handsome Cooper's Hawk was on the look-out for dinner! Among the bird world’s most skillful fliers, Cooper’s Hawks are common woodland hawks that tear through cluttered tree canopies in high speed pursuit of other birds. You’re most likely to see one prowling above a forest edge or field using just a few stiff wingbeats followed by a glide.
Linda is an author (L.C.Bennett Stern), blogger and backyard birder, who loves living in a small town on the East Coast of the United States. She prefers taking photos of subjects in nature and architecture ... with a smile, she adds: people are so unruly. Please feel free to manipulate my photos (to the extent possible) to suit the items you wish to order, including changing the background color on many items. (Note: Some images cannot be resized to appear correctly on Mugs, even with resizing...check carefully before ordering, to avoid disappointment.) I welcome you to stop by frequently to see updates to my portfolio.
